Fall Boho Wedding | Homestead Barn, Sandpoint, Idaho

Calvin and Selah’s wedding was one of the most personal and unique weddings I’ve had the honor of witnessing. They included many personal details into their day: Selah choose to wear a dusty blue dress and Calvin not only made both of their rings, but his suit coat as well. They also choose to do something different than most couples, by picking a new last name to begin their married lives together with - I love that!

It was also a day filled with much joy and gratitude. Just a year earlier, Selah had been unsure if her father would even be able to be present at her wedding day after he received a cancer diagnosis. But God preserved her father’s life and health and he walked his daughter down the aisle on her special day.

One of my favorite moments from their ceremony was when the officiant read heartfelt letters written by their parents - a letter to Selah from Calvin’s parents and a letter to Calvin from Selah’s parents. It was a sweet moment of publicly welcoming the new addition to both families.

Their reception was held in the upper floor of the barn and was one of the most family centric, cozy (and yummy!) receptions ever. A large table was covered charcuterie style, and was accompanied by delicious soups which suited the chilly fall evening. The sights and sounds of children added to the joyful scene; many of the children were either siblings of the bride and groom or children who Selah had babysat and grown to love as siblings.

I could share a lot more that stood out to me about their day but it would make for a very long post on top of the photos. So enjoy these images from their day!
