High Desert Anniversary Session | Summer Lake, Oregon

If you were to ask me who inspires me with their marriage, the first couple who would come to mind is my parents. They have shown me through example that having a strong, loving and fun marriage is possible when you keep God at the center of your relationship and determine from the get go to have the best marriage possible. They've been a beautiful example of what it means to stick together through the highs and low's of life and I'm so thankful for them!

Earlier this year, I knew I wanted to do 25th anniversary photos for them at some point over the summer. But after my dad's work and travel schedule unexpectedly increased summer came and went and we didn't have the opportunity to take any. Over Labor day weekend, Bryan and I road tripped down to Oregon's high desert where we met up with my family. This created the perfect opportunity to get them some anniversary photos so we slipped out one evening to catch the last light of day. I was afraid we were too late getting out but the eastern sky did not disappoint and we had some beautiful colors as a backdrop.

Maria is a Coeur d’Alene, Idaho based wedding and elopement photographer.   Her passion lies in authentically capturing couples through vibrant + emotion filled images while also showcasing the beauty of nature.  Her style is passionate, fun and adventurous and she believes capturing moments is waaaay better then perfect poses.  When she isn’t serving her amazing couples you’ll find her exploring Idaho with her husband Bryan, teaching karate, eating ice cream or hanging out with family & friends.
