There's something special about knowing a person prior to them finding the love of their life and then getting to witness the change that takes place. That extra sparkle in their eyes, the smiles that seem to never end and all the other visible tells of being blissfully in love. Rachel and I have been friends since our mid-teen years, and it was such a joy to witness her and Howard's relationship blossom and see those changes come over her.
So suffice it to say that I came away from capturing engagement photos for these two with an extra happy heart. When I asked Rachel's opinion on location/backdrop, she really liked greens. But it was March and Coeur D Alene was far from being thawed out. A series of events postponed their session until mid-April though and I found this spot for us which was vibrant with some of the first new growth of spring. It turned out to be perfect for an early spring engagement session!
